On our last day at Singapore, we dropped by the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum in Chinatown. Unfortunately, they were about to close already.
The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum has
four floors. The first floor has a courtyard and the Maitreya Hall or
Hundred Dragons Hall, which is the main temple worship area. The second floor
has a tea house and cultural shop. The third floor is the Buddhist Culture
Museum which supposedly has an impressive display of original Buddha artifacts
from all over the world. The fourth floor, called the Sacred Light Hall, is
where the Buddha Tooth Relic can be found. The roof top has a garden. The
Vairocana Buddha Prayer Wheel Pagoda can be found in the middle of the garden.
