Because Mike loooooves dim sum, especially xiao long bao, I decided to treat him to a dim sum place for his birthday. Lucky for me, Jasmine Restaurant at New World Makati had an Unlimited Yum Cha (dim sum) lunch promo. For PhP795, you get unlimited dim sum and Jasmine tea.

Of course, we had xiao long bao and ordered two bamboo baskets right away. It was incredible! To me, Jasmine proved that it deserved to be in spot.ph's Top 10 Xiao Long Bao in Manila. We also had pork siu mai, spinach and shrimp dumpling (which I really liked), mixed mushroom dumpling, wagyu beef and mango roll (another favorite), fried taro puff, chinese sausage, pork spare ribs, and for dessert, almond cream soup with glutinous dumpling. Because it took them forever to serve the pork spare ribs that we ordered, the server also gave us mango sago dessert, even if it wasn't really part of their unlimited yum cha menu.

Food was really delish but service was slow. The server said that most of the guests were walk-ins, so the kitchen staff got caught off guard. Despite the slow service, we had a blast and birthday boy was happy, so mission accomplished for me.
