More from our anniversary celebration at Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. The Menara Tun Mustapha was our first stop during our DIY (no teksi) city tour of Kota Kinabalu. At the Wawasan Bus Terminal, we had to ask around a bit to find out which bus can take us to the Menara Tan Mustapha Building/Sabah State Building. The drivers were more familiar with the building as Yayasan Sabah.

The Menara Tun Mustapha is named after Tun Datu Mustapha, a former Chief Minister of Sabah. Built in 1977, the 30-storey circular glass sculpture is lauded as an architectural icon and is the second tallest building in KK. It’s got a library, auditorium, mini-theatre, gymnasium, kindergarden and a famous revolving restaurant on the 18th floor named @mosphere revolving restaurant & bar.
